With the recent resurgence of the Y2K aesthetic, Paris Hilton and her iconic track “Stars Are Blind” have been on everyone’s mind/playlist.

Besides becoming one of 2006’s staple tracks, “Stars Are Blind” has recently been remastered and recorded by Hilton (and fans are losing it).

This song is a nostalgic, feel-good anthem and perfect for any demographic, year, or moment.

Earlier last week, Paris announced on her social media she’d be “breaking the internet,” only to release the updated version of “Stars Are Blind” and perform it LIVE at Miley Cyrus’ annual New Year’s Eve special.

To get into the new version, Paris sounds very lovely, with soft, airy vocals throughout the lead and backing tracks.

This single has always been a feel-good type of beat.

It has a bit of funk to it, which is unexpected from the hotel heiress. One thing to note is that “Stars Are Blind (Paris’ Version) is an Amazon Music exclusive.

Some fans were curious about that decision, but we’re sure the song will eventually make its way to other major streaming platforms.

Lyrically, “Stars Are Blind” has always been catchy and a little sad if you read through them closely.

A couple of lines we had to replay:

Those other guys all wanna take me for a ride

But when I walk, they talk of suicide

Knowing Paris, she has probably broken a few hearts (publicly and privately) throughout her iconic career.

This single runs for nearly four minutes, which is what every song should be. Paris gave us a long-enough bop to keep the world at peace.

Even though we wouldn’t consider Paris Hilton, a full-blown “vocalist,” this project never felt like it was a joke or not taken seriously.

Not everybody can make music that stays relevant for decades, but Paris Hilton has done a perfect job at this.

“Stars Are Blind” has been people’s wedding song and graduation song and is meant to be enjoyed any time of the year.
